Eyelit, Inc., provider of Collaborative Production Management (CPM) solutions for visibility, control and coordination of manufacturing operations for the electronics, life sciences, and semiconductor industries, announced the release of VISUAL*eyes(TM) 2.5. VISUAL*eyes 2.5 enhances an already comprehensive MES solution with a new suite of enterprise execution tools.

With a unique and innovative technology, Eyelit has leap-frogged the traditional MES vendors, providing solutions that reach far beyond everyday factory floor control. Enterprise SYNCHRON*eyes(TM), now available in version 2.5, enables multi-site synchronization of plant models and coordination of supply chain order information across internal and supplier networks. With SYNCHRON*eyes manufacturers can optimize their supplier network and internal manufacturing operations by easily distributing and executing critical manufacturing order and product information. With built in event and alert management our customers are able to quickly respond to changes in their supplier network, regardless of plant floor systems. Eyelit offers unmatched capability for coordinating and optimizing supply chain and production operations.

VISUAL*eyes 2.5 introduces the Interactive Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Monitor. The KPI monitor provides a powerful tool for enabling the configuration and monitoring of any measurable indicator of a facility or production process. With real-time alerts and a built-in Historian, VISUAL*eyes can now automatically respond to ever-changing conditions. These automated responses can range from putting equipment down -- to automatic requisitions for inventory replenishment to the ERP system.

Also in this release, Eyelit introduces a user-configurable, interactive GUI, called the Interactive Performance Monitor (IPM), which can double as an execution client and executive dashboard. Leveraging Eyelit's robust architecture, users can create custom operator and executive screens in a matter of seconds. This greatly simplifies custom screen creation and reduces further, our industry leading 45 day implementation.

"Eyelit has taken their VISUAL*eyes MES to a new level in the 2.5 release," stated Greg Gorbach, a senior analyst for ARC Advisory Group. "By focusing more broadly on Operations Management, the new release of VISUAL*eyes has crossed over from a traditional MES offering to a solution for synchronizing and managing logistics across the entire enterprise. Even a simple MES can provide a manufacturer with value, however, as manufacturers continue to outsource individual processes there is greater need for software like VISUAL*eyes to manage and execute orders across the virtual factory."

"Our mission for this release was to build on our very successful first two releases and maintain our high customer satisfaction rating. We sought to provide extended enterprise functionality in this release. VISUAL*eyes now organizes and coordinates the flow of critical manufacturing information across the entire enterprise, from supplier to the customer," stated Salil Jain, CEO of Eyelit. "With the introduction of Enterprise SYNCHRON*eyes(TM), we now provide the ability for companies to seamlessly exchange data across different instances of the MES and other enterprise applications."
