InfoSecure Open Systems & Solutions Announces Open-Source Alternative to Oracle/PeopleSoft
InfoSecure Open Systems & Solutions announced the release of technology and related services that enable the use of the open-source Compiere(TM) enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) application on the SAP-certified open- source MaxDB(TM) by MySQL database, providing a unique fully open-source alternative to Oracle/PeopleSoft.
Compiere is an Open Source ERP/integrated CRM software solution with 750,000+ downloads. MySQL is a popular open source database, with more than 5 million active installations. Support for Computer Associates' Ingres, MySQL 5.0 and other open-source databases will be available soon.
Through this new initiative, InfoSecure Open Systems & Solutions will provide customers with comprehensive services for the deployment of ERP, CRM, SCM and other solutions or the migration of their existing applications to Linux.
