ABAS Software AG: now also partners in India and Sri Lanka
The ABAS Software AG, specialized in ERP and eBusiness solutions for medium-sized businesses, further expands overseas. Two new sales partners in India and Sri Lanka were added.
The contracts were signed in the past fall at the abas Customer Forum in Karlsruhe, Germany. COO for the area Northern India is Manish G. Jain. The "Abas Business Software - Project Team North" is located in Navi Mumbai in the destrict of Thane. With approximately 1.3 million inhabitants Thane is one of the largest cities in the state of Maharashtra and is located about one hour's drive away from the explosively growing city of Mumbai, formally known as Bombay.
Vaz Gnanam is COO for the areas Southern India and Sri Lanka. The main office of Providence Network & Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. is located in Colombo, Sri Lanka's capital, a booming seaport with approximately 2.25 million inhabitants. The official languages in Sri Lanka are Tamil, Sinhala and English. The office for Southern India, which has the name "Abas Business Software - Project Team South" is located in Chennai, formerly known as Madras, in the state of Tamil Nadu. With approximately 4.5 million people, Chennai is the fifth largest city in India and, in addition to Mumbai, plays an important role in the Indian movie industry.
First assignment for Gnanam is an implementation in Sri Lanka for St. Anthony's Group (Pvt) Ltd which is also located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Using the brand name ANTON, the group has been producing and distributing numerous plastic products since 1960. Their product range comprises: sanitary pipes, conduits, agricultural piping, water tanks, PVC doors, nets, isolations and sewage containers. The products of the company ANTON are subject to a strict quality management. The product range was awarded with the ISO 9001:2000 certification in the year 2002. This was the first time that a company in Sri Lanka met this ISO standard. Today, ANTON is the market leader and a pioneer in Sri Lanka.
