High-level Chinese delegation visits ABAS
A delegation from China was informed of the strengths and innovations of abas Business Software directly at the development center in Karlsruhe. Peter Forscht, COO of ABAS Software AG, presented the benefits of the flexible ERP and eBusiness software for midsize companies and the worldwide abas network to the twenty-two guests.

"A few weeks ago Ms. Yang Li Zhe from the Software & information Service department of the Shanghai Municipal Informatization Commission asked whether she could visit us in Karlsruhe with a delegation of representatives from Chinese politics and business. The fact that the Chinese gathered information directly from us in Germany where abas Business Software is developed shows great interest. abas Business Software has a good reputation in China. Last year it won the Linux 'Winner of Enterprise Resources Planning Software' award for the third time in a row there. That is our core competence. Our Chinese partner ABAS Business Solutions was also awarded the title of 'Caring Company' in 2008 for its social involvement. This title is awarded by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, which advocates the common good. Our partner was honored in the following areas: volunteer work, support of non-profit organizations, and employee and environmental friendliness," reports Forscht. An interesting point for the delegation is that abas ERP has been working with Unicode for several years and can therefore be displayed in 28 languages including traditional and simplified Chinese.
