Brick manufacturer decides in favor of abas ERP
The well-established family business Ziegelwerk Waldsassen AG Hart Keramik - a Germany based brick manufacturer, that is rich in tradition - decided to use abas Business Software (ERP, PPC, MRP, eBusiness) to optimize its business processes. Project management is controlled by ABAS Projektierung GmbH from Nuremberg.

Modern fabrication technology in the heart of Europe - The POROTON-Brick factory II, which operates since 1994, is a high quality production facility which enables Hart Keramik to keep up with the latest technical innovations. The whole product range is manufactured at this location: from heat-insulating POROTON-bricks to honeycomb bricks and sound insulation bricks. With the philosophy to "cultivate existing markets and to develop new markets", Ziegelwerk Waldsassen AG Hart Keramik distributes their products regionally, nationally and throughout Europe. Just as much as for all medium sized businesses in the building material industry, export is a main factor to the company, especially in times of low domestic economic activity. Hart Keramik‘s export rate is 50%.
Along production and sales of its products, the 145 employees based family business consults and assists its co-operation partners as well. Special exhibitions (Brick Days) are an essential part of customer service and are staged every two years since 1980. Architects, construction companies, builder and building material merchants come together to exchange information on the latest trends and regulations in the field of building activity. Participating in regional exhibitions and the international trade fair "BAU" in Munich, the company provides further communication platforms to interact and exchange know-how with its customers.
